Sons of the Sand: serves as my reference work within a collection of illustrations that later inspired both a song and a video clip by me. This 4-minute and 47-second video takes the viewer on a visual journey through my artwork, accompanied by a narrative I provide. It features 12 distinct drawings, developed over two years while I traveled through the Iberian Peninsula and my homeland, South Korea. In this video, the “Zoom In” feature explores the drawings in a manner reminiscent of a tantric voyage, highlighting their repetitive and intricate design. This method reveals a profound introspection, transforming the pieces into what resemble exquisite jewels. As both a musician and a visual artist, I harness the musical qualities of colors, allowing “Sons of the Sand” to channel the vibrant force of hues into melancholic melodies brimming with allegorical expressions of life.
